Rev. Molly Vetter

Reading poetry and spending time in prayer has been good for me this Lent. Poetry has a beautiful ability to tune me in to beautiful, little things; during a time when I’m especially aware of so many big, broken things (fear of pandemic, a sense that the patriarchy will never release its power grip in government, refugees in crisis in Syria, to name a few), my heart needs not only a hope-filled counter-balance, but a whole, alternative vision of reality.

So that’s what I look forward to talking about on Sunday: to looking at an old-familiar scripture text in search of some powerful, transformative hope. We’re going to sing some songs and share prayer, drink coffee and welcome each other, and share conversation about how we might make sense of the love of God in this world.

Grace and peace,
Pastor Molly
